Tory Patterson was working as an anchor for a UBC news magazine when she got the news that terrorists abducted her friend and fellow Athena Academy graduate. She immediately started her own investigation into the kidnapping, flying to a foreign country filled with danger.

Ben Forsythe, Tory’s boyfriend, was against her involvement. He was worried about her safety, especially when he found out she was pregnant. Of course, Ben was the last one who could complain about her job. He worked as an undercover CIA agent and his latest assignment just happened to be in the same area Tory was heading to.

Tory uses all her know how and ends up finding important clues to the whereabouts of the hostages, one of which is a member of Ben’s team. Ben and his men complete their assignment and are then reassigned to pursue the elusive group called Freedom Now, and American group who have claimed responsibility for the abduction. Tory and Ben’s path continue to cross placing her directly in the line of fire.
